Wild Seed Project: Returning native plants to the Maine landscape

As Wild Seed Project grows, founder Heather McCargo is transitioning from her instrumental role as WSP’s first executive director to focus on her greatest passion — expanding our native seed program.

To celebrate and honor Heather’s decades-long dedication to restoring native species to Maine’s landscape, we’re launching a campaign to plant 1,000 native trees by spring of 2022!

We Invite You to Participate

Please help us honor Heather for two goals she inspired:

  • Planting native treesPledge to Rewild Action Step #1 — as a community practice.
  • Getting 1 million native plants in the ground by 2030, as outlined in our 10-Year Impact Plan.
