The Ecotype Seed School Presents: Creating an Ecotypic Seed Network in the Northeast

Join WSP’s Heather McCargo and other regional seed experts to listen in on a panel discussion at Northeast Organic Farming Association of New York’s (NOFA-NY’s) Northeast Organic Seed Conference.

As stewards of the land, we all understand the importance of restoring, protecting, and conserving our natural ecosystems. How can seed producers support the living seed banks of our shared ecological corridors with genetically local native seeds?

Many of us in the Northeast are doing the important work of ecotype seed production — but what resources or skill sets are we missing to foster a fully functional ecoregional “seedshed?”

Some of our region’s leading pioneers and authorities will conduct a needs assessment and discuss a way forward to amplify Northeast ecotype seed for ecological restoration.

Sponsored by CT NOFA, The Ecotype Project for Pollinator Health, and NOFA Organic Land Care
