Did you sow native seeds this winter? Do you want to learn how best to care for them as young seedlings? Join us at Wolfe's Neck Center for Agriculture & the Environment for a hands-on demonstration of how to care for your newly germinated native seedlings. This event will focus on demonstrating the nursery style of dividing and planting, and how to best apply that to a home garden setting. We will walk through the details of soil mixes for different plant needs, fertilization regimens, how to carefully divide young seedlings, and pot them in containers for the summer. There are lots of little details we can share from our experience growing plants to help set you up to have thriving plants ready to go into the ground this fall. The plants we tend in this workshop will continue growing on to expand the Community Seed Garden at Wolfe's Neck.
Ongoing support from memberships and donations makes events like this possible. We welcome you to support Wild Seed Project and Wolfe's Neck. Thank you!
