Seeds for Teachers
Seeds for Teachers provides free native seeds to public school educators each fall, a barrier-free initiative intended to inspire teachers to integrate native plants into their existing pollinator and plant units across grade levels.

Ecological Restoration Projects
student-driven & school-based
Through a year-long cohort program, Wild Seed Project supports middle and high school teachers in establishing student-led ecological restoration projects on school grounds. We help teachers implement native plant ecology into their existing curriculum and expand outdoor learning spaces at their schools.
We support teachers in collaborating with their students to understand the ecology surrounding their schools, get to know the plants and creatures they share their community with, and create design plans to build biodiversity through ecological planting installations. Students and teachers alike also learn practical skills including plant identification; seed collection and native seed sowing; ecological land care practices; and more. This program is supported in part by the Onion Foundation.
