Did you sow native seeds this winter? Do you want to learn how best to care for them as young seedlings? Join us at our Native Seed Center at Turkey Hill Farm for a hands-on demonstration of how to care for your newly germinated native seedlings. This event will focus on demonstrating the nursery style of dividing and planting, and how to best apply that to a home garden setting. We will walk through the details of soil mixes for different plant needs, fertilization regimens, how to carefully divide young seedlings, and how to care for them in containers over the summer. There are lots of little details we can share from our experience growing plants to help set you up to have thriving plants ready to go into the ground this fall.
Participants will go home with a pot of little plants for their own garden!
This workshop is now sold out; please email caitlin@wildseedproject.net if you would like to be added to the waitlist. Thank you!
There is also still space in the online version: Up-potting Seedlings Online.
Notes on access: This workshop will be held in our greenhouse and nursery. Access to the Seed Center greenhouse and nursery requires use of a gravel path and uneven terrain, and the floor of the greenhouse is crushed gravel. There are two outhouses available, one of which is accessible via ramp. Please let us know if there are ways we can help get you to the event!
